Luther Oconer Elected Bishop of our Episcopal Area
Rev. Dr. Luther Oconer has been elected a bishop of the Global Methodist Church and will serve Episcopal Area 1, which includes the Mississippi–West Tennessee Annual Conference.
Episcopal Area 1 brings together seven annual conferences from across the globe: Tanzania, Covenant Philippines, India, Mega Manila Philippines, Panama, Mississippi–West Tennessee, and Trinity.
Dr. Oconer currently serves as Conference Superintendent of the Mega Manila Annual Conference in the Philippines and as Associate Professor of Global Wesleyan Theology at Asbury Theological Seminary. He brings experience in pastoral ministry, conference leadership, and theological education to the Global Methodist movement.
